The most popular non-organic yeast consists of these compounds, Yeast, Sorbitan Monostearate (synthetic ester) and Ascorbic Acid. There are many trendy lifestyle breads on the market today that may contain GMO corn, soy (not recommended for Cancer patients nor those in remission) and rice.

Orange Peel

Orange Peel alone is bitter but when added to Gold Standard Organic Baked Goods it’s a knockout! Would it surprise you to know that the actual orange peel has four times more health benefits than the whole orange fruit? The peel contains flavonoids (antioxidant compounds) that are extremely beneficial for your health. It also contains higher amounts of nutrients such as vitamin C, amounts of copper, calcium, magnesium, vitamin A and dietary fiber.

Star Anise

The health benefits of Star Anise are numerous! This star-shaped plant is native to China called illicium verum and can be found in other regions of the world as well. Star Anise contains important vitamins like A and C as well as some B, calcium and phosphorus. The most important medicinal value is the shikimic acid which is used as an ingredient in Tamiflu.

Ginger

Ginger has a long history of traditional alternative medical uses.

Avocado Oil

Why are Black Beans so desired in certain regions of the world? Mainly because they are nutritionally power packed and reasonably priced. 

The nutrients in Black Beans are, 41.9 grams in 1 cup and contain calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, thiamin, niacin, folate, vitamin E, vitamin K and potassium. Black Beans have high levels of flavonoids, especially anthocyanin which are antioxidants. The omega 3-fatty acids are a “good” cholesterol. Black Beans also contain folic acid and have high levels of molybdenum which is very rare!
