1) Antioxidant-Linalool and Vitamin C
An animal study in 2007 found that the development of cancer was inhibited in animals given star anise compared to those that were not.

Star Anise can treat fungal and yeast infections such as Candida.

In 2010 Taiwanese research found that four antimicrobial compounds derived from Star Anise was effective against nearly 70 strains of drug‑resistant bacteria.

The shikimic acid is in high concentrate. An Italian study in 2011 examined the ability for shikimic acid to protect against the flu as well as other viral infections. It was found that shikimic acid combined with quercetin had a major effect to boost the immune system!

Topically used as an oil, Star Anise is an excellent treatment for Rheumatism and back pain.
